硫(S)已被认为是一个重要的植物大量营养元素,尤 其是在芸薹属作物上,施用硫肥经常与高产及高品质联系 在一起。杂卤石是一种天然矿物,海洋蒸发时沉积生成, 由包含钾(K)、钙(Ca)、镁(Mg)的含水硫酸盐组成。本 研究的目的是测试杂卤石中的游离酸对印度两大芸薹属 植物花椰菜和卷心菜的影响。施用硫会显著提高这两种作 物的产量和品质。钾促进了硫的吸收,同样反过来,硫似乎 促进了磷(P)和钙的吸收。卷心菜和花椰菜的最高产量分 别比对照增加39.5%和32.8%,其最高产量的施肥水平为施 用N-P-K推荐量的100%及施S推荐量的75%,硫由杂卤石提 供。无论硫是由杂卤石提供还是由石膏提供,对施用S推荐 量100%的处理没有进一步提高产量的原因进行了讨论。当 施用硫时需要更多的研究来调整氮(N)及钾的施肥管理。
