The poster shows the results of a long term trial (10 years from 2005 to 2014) evaluating the effects of potash (K) fertilization in a soybean/maize crop rotation in the region. The results showed a yield decrease in areas without K fertilization or only phosphorus fertilization, demonstrating that K fertilization is essential for sustainable production of soybean.

Ingbert Dowich, a consultant in Luiz Eduardo Magalhaes, Bahia, Brazil, presented this poster at FERTBIO (Brazilian Meeting of soil Science and Plant Nutrition) in October 2016.
